A simple tool to put scribe lines on the blade blank prior to grinding. A small block of aluminum sanded flat. Drill an angle hole for the scribe point and one that you tap for the screw that olds the point in place. Just sharpen the drill bit you just use without overheating it and you have the point ready to go in there. These are easy to make and cheap so if you are lazy like me, instead of readjusting the point each time, you can make one for every thickness  of stock you use. It is not pretty but it does the job.
